questions about a 2 BR suite at the Poly

We are beginning to plan a WDW trip for Feb 2008. There will be 8 of us. Dh said the 2 BR Princess suite at the Poly looks great (even after he saw the price!!). I have 2 questions:
First, what kind of discounts have you seen for this room?
Second, I've heard that 2008 rates will not be out for a few more months. Since there are a limited number of these suites, what is my best strategy for booking one?

Hi! Welcome to Dreams Unlimited! :)

Disney doesn't "usually" give discounts on suites, but that doesn't mean that it won't happen. Your best strategy at this point is to book a suite, if it's available, as "room only". The price will be subject to change when the 2008 rates come out. Packages will be released later in the summer, and at that time you can change your reservation to a package with tickets and dining, if you wish. But, at least you will have the room you want reserved!
