Dreams Unlimited Travel,
We are inviting Dreams Unlimited Travel to be a proud Sponsor of the 10th Annual Little Creek Regatta in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This year’s event will be held August 5 & 6th at Bay Point Marina in Norfolk, VA. The Little Creek Regatta is a National event which consists of the Chesapeake Bay Poker Run, the Fishing for a Cure Tournament and the Little Creek Cup Sailboat Race. This event has raised over half a million dollars in the fight against cancer. Thousands of guests are expected again this year to attend the pre- and post-race parties and award ceremonies
As you know, the late entertainer Danny Thomas founded St. Jude Hospital in 1962, the first institution established for the sole purpose of conducting basic and clinical research into catastrophic childhood diseases, mainly cancer. St. Jude has treated more than 19,000 children from 48 states and 60 foreign countries. Research and clinical findings are freely shared with the worldwide medical community. They work with other health care providers to educate and train medical professionals on new therapies and techniques. No child is ever turned away because of an inability to pay. Thanks to the generosity of corporate partners, St. Jude Hospital covers the cost of treatment, transportation, housing and food along with other expenses.
We are putting together a Disney vacation package to be awarded to the top fundraiser in the children’s portion of the fishing tournament. To date, a 4th grader has raised over $4500.00! Dreams Unlimited Travel can help us by donating a hotel stay for a few days at a location near Disney. For your information, Disney has donated theme park tickets and both Southwest and Independence Air have donated airfare. Your support will complete this package. Your participation would enforce your support to others while helping the patients of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
